Where Teardrops Fall

This work has been Inspired by the publication ‘The Pillow Book’ a collection of notes in the form of a journal by Sei Shònagon completed in the year 1002. It is a book of reminiscence, observations and impressions that were never meant to be seen by the public eye. Shònagon wrote about her experience about the world as she saw it. She wrote in a way that she was unable to express vocally or in literature that was meant to be read by others. Her writing is a celebration of aesthetics and beauty in the everyday.

The charcoal drawings are reflections of stolen moments, whispers and intimate conversations.
