Black is the Colour of My True Love’s Hair #03

SERIES: Black is the Colour of My True Love's Hair

This collection of work is an exploration of identity, presence and the complexity of tracing absence through the lens of pattern and decoration. The frames are integral to the narrative that informs each piece, glorifying the space they hold. Whilst the ropes of pearls mirror the shapes within the drawings. Seen as embroideries, threads of ink and graphite weave their stories of memory and experience. Seeking to make visible those histories, erased, across time and space.
