Pillow Talk #2

This work has been Inspired by the publication ‘The Pillow Book’ a collection of notes in the form of a journal by Sei Shònagon completed in the year 1002. It is a book of reminiscence, observations and impressions that were never meant to be seen by the public eye. Shònagon wrote truthfully about the world as she saw it. She wrote in a way that she was unable to express vocally or in literature that was meant to be read by others. Her writing is a celebration of aesthetics and beauty in the everyday.

The charcoal drawings are reflections of stolen moments, whispers and intimate conversations.
